We had a first-class experience and service from GBR, but without the first-class price tag! We desperately needed a new slate roof for our house and GBR did not disappoint. Carried out a full re-slate of roof and gutter replacement too. Delighted with the workmanship. Communication was great throughout and the property was left tidy every day while the work was ongoing. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. They have carried out work for our family members and the feedback is the same. They have a good reputation locally so they are in demand.
Gordon Burns Roofing carried out an extensive overhaul of my roof, which was an original slate roof from ~1890. This included a re-roof with excellent quality slate to match a rear extension, repair to a leaking valley between the house and the extension, repair of rotted fascia, and painting of all wood around the roof. Failed to respond to 2 requests for a quote, over 2 months ago (one website enquiry, then a follow-up call to their phone receptionist, who promised a call back). A message to say "sorry, we can't take on your job just now" would have been good manners, and better than leaving someone hanging...
Gordon re roofed my house 18 or so years ago and it's testament to that, that it has needed little done until now. This week Simon, Gordon and the guys did a great job repairing damaged slates and restoring the Victorian vent tower on top to its former glory. The guys were respectful of my property and tidied up afterwards. Highly recommended.
