After installation the filter housing was leaking water. Five technician visits later trying to correct the leak the new filter version assembly was removed and the old version filter assembly it replaced was installed. Did I get a refund on the cost difference, no. The unit I bought and thought to be Kinetico turned out to be some off brand they sell that cannot be identified. I called to get a price on their softeners and was told by the agent I talked to that no one was available and she would call back tomorrow afternoon. I told her that I was pressed to find one, since mine had died and if she could, call in the morning. She said she would. The following day, morning came and went. I called back around 2 p.m. They said she was at lunch and she would call back as soon as she was done. If there was a way to put negative stars on this I would be ALL over it.............. the house we bought has a whole system from them and is not working so I called to see how much they charge to come look at it .................. they want $49.95 just to get in the truck and come out and then they want $23.95 EACH 15 min they are there diagnosing the problem ............... SERIOUSLY !!!!! I sure am in the WRONG business !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I recently tried to purchase a water softening system and despite 4 phone calls and a 3 hour onsite sales appointment. I never was given a clear pricing schedule. The salesman kept trying to get me to reschedule and waste my time. When I called other dealers in the area I learned that kinetico has protected dealers and territories which just means a monopoly!
