I have nothing but praise for Goonellabah medical centre . They have always gone out of their way to accommodate me for what's usually an emergency appointment . I was bitten by a snake a few years ago and my health has declined since then , originally I went to Charlie Hew who was always helpful and always fixed the problem I was having concentrating on one thing at a time . Receptionists and general services were good but Dr. Christopher Shelfoon is worse than useless. Refused to listen to my friend when they repeatedly stated they had recurring strepthroat which had been suppressed with antibiotics. He kept insisting it was a viral infection even after we restated multiple times that it had already responded to antibiotics. He referred them for some tests but all for viral infections, not even a mention of strep! Eventually he prescribed HALF a course of antibiotics and to nobody's surprise th... read more
Wanted to email this but was unable to find an email..Have always had decent experiences with the reception staff here until recently. Young girl on reception who I’ve dealt with twice now and is so condescending. I needed help with accessing some of my information and just spoke down on me as if I should understand every legislation and rule around HIPPA. Made me feel like an idiot.
The reception ladies are kind and friendly and Dr Smythe has been exceptional. After years of health struggles I feel heard and helped for a long time. Thank you Dr Smythe and team at Goonellabah Medical Center
