Reminder that all the donations everyone gives and everything they have is completely freely given to them. The manager refused to give me a larger bag. The small bag ripe immediately after leaving the store. I was mostly disappointed because I'm a regular and one large bag wouldn't have broken the bank. People should give donations to another organization. This one is greedy and only pays the employees 12$. You would think they paid for the bags they way they refused to give me one. I tried several times calling to see if pick up is available for a living room set donation. No one is returning my call/answering the phone. It is frustrating.

I tried to donate a bed frame which is less than a year old and in great condition at the Johnston Road location. Daughter had it in college and isn’t taking it with her. It’s one of those metal type beds, modern look, and has “slats” that you pop in to hold the mattress rather than a box spring. I was told “Corporate” doesn’t take this donation any more because they don’t want the employees assembling them. Seems like a waste and assembling it takes like 20 minutes. I used to recommend this company, but after the comments made by a manager at the bins, I can no longer recommend this company for employment or donations. The manager said hurtful comments about a veteran with a service connected disability. The comments were hurtful, judgmental, and inappropriate for an manager of Goodwill. The companies core values are to help those in need, those with disabilities, veterans, and people trying to get their life back on track. What I experienced was hurtful. I have called corporate multiple times however ever speaking to a team leader is impossible. For 3 days in a row no one answers the Team Leader line. (0). I spoke to Shondra twice and was suppose to get a call back and that hadn't happened. On a positive note store managers have been outstanding to help stop criminals from stealing from the donation bins .
