Wow Goodwill allows employees to buy from their stores now. They say they can't buy things when they are first put out, they have to wait a week. All they do is hide the items in the back. We have seen manages/employees bring several things out of the back and buy them. When I say things it has been a large number of things we have seen them buy. Do not donate or buy from this store. The prices are ridiculously inflated. This is supposed to be for nonprofit. If an item that YOU gave to them is name brand, they will Jack up the prices on it. It can have a hole in it and it will still cost a lot more than the non name brand stuff. All other Goodwill stores have stopped doing this. These folks are definitely making a profit. I won't be going back. Please don't donate to this store.
I went shopping at the Goodwill store in Greenville, Ohio, I had to use the restroom, I ask a lady, she told me there were no public restrooms. She told me to go across the street to the KFC, I wasn't going to go across the street, then come back there to shop, I just put my merchandise down and left, what a big inconvenience to the public.
I have donated to this store many times in the past. NEVER AGAIN. I went in today to buy a workout bench. It was too large for my suv, so I asked for help in dissembling and loading it. The guy whined for awhile then said he wouldn't do it til I paid. Understandable. I asked the cashier if he can't get it apart, can I get my money back. No. Even if it never leaves the store? Used to be a good store ...now they sell targets stuff. They keep raising the prices so I won't be going back!!
On several occasions I've had the lead cashier and others talk down to me, whisper to each other and giggle as I'm checking out, use curse words in front of customers, etc.. The list goes on. They need to seriously reconsider hiring every foul mouthed dropout in town.. I believe it all reflects on poor management.
This store was very clean and organized when it opened a few years ago. Not so much now. There are lots of nice clothes from good vendors. Household goods and furniture are pricey. The small items, purses and shoes in the showcases have Ebay and Etsy pricetags. Cleaning crew must have quit.
The Dearborn, Michigan store is consistently picked over, and there is not an ample selection of clothing for women. Overall it's mostly junk.
