Been a member of gyms for 10 years. Moved to Adelaide and changed to Goodlife. Worst experience, and most expensive to get out of, in my gym career - never again. In particular, Burnside is easily the most terrible weights gym I have ever been in. Tiny weights area populated with machines bought in the 90s (machine weight stacks don’t even have proper kg/lb amounts on them and they are worn to rusting). At the Goodlife (Burnside) gym my first day was remarkable. I was overwhelmed seeing the state of the art new equipment. Amazingly friendly fellow gym members helped me in every aspect and the instructor encouraged me whilst l an eye on me. Though I started exercising after long years, I somehow managed to complete the group session without any problem. The clean environment, colourful equipment and the friendly nature of the fellow gym members and the staff left a happy, pleasant feeling within me.
