Over the last 9-12 months I have had continuing discussions wth the general manager of the Newmarket gym concerning the increasing occasions of over the top, mindless crashing of weights. Other than advising me to report the the incidents to the attendants at the front he has made no other obvious attempts to to alter the obvious culture issue. Great gym and alert staff. They listen to members and take member concerns and safety serious so you can work out and feel comfortable in a shared community space where equality matters.
Making their clients feel safe by removing those that show up with weapons to work out. Great job, very proud.

Unacceptable behaviour of night staff. April 24th, 2026. I left my head phones behind accidentally, called in to ask staff if they could grab them for me so I could pick up in the morning. Indian employee who is known for being incredibly lazy, and only walks around to socialize, answered call, I asked if he could confirm they were retrieved, he said he would leave them at desk if found and hung up. Good gym love
The equipment is ok, and the trainers I’ve met are good. The rest of the staff are mixed - a young kid (I think his name is Anie) and the cleaner are excellent, but the rest (including the manager) are total deadweights.
