Have you ever wanted to schedule an appointment for something your worried about, be sent for tests, and then never hear from your doctor? Man, I've got the place for you! Not only do they refuse to read charts, reception is rude and in a huge rush (no line or anything,) and then they never call you back to talk about your tests! Hopefully this location gets a completely new staff or shuts down.
The doctor side is fine, but the service side -- particularly with regard to answering calls -- must be fixed. The model should be a small town doctor's office with big hospital facilities. No patient wants to feel like a number. That said, once there, its fine: friendly staff, etc. But the heavy use of portals and the phone call issue is unfortunate.
Stay as far away from this place and Dr. Firdausi Matawalle. We received a bill of more than 1200$ for lab tests during our ANNUAL HEALTH PHYSICAL visit. This doctor ordered a bunch of unnecessary tests just based on our responses to her questions about how we were feeling. For example, she ordered TSH tests for both me and my wife just because we mentioned that we gained some weight. Absolutely pathetic - I've been struggling with worsening symptoms the past 6 months and have gotten no where. They send you to places outside of UPMC and THEY charge you a ridiculous amount! They charged me way more than the scan actually cost through insurance. I'm done. I transferred to another doctor's office - I can ACTUALLY see a doctor - not random nurse practitioners. Please, if you're having issues go somewhere else.
