Gondola Adventures Irving branch is a first-class gondola experience offering cruises on Lake Carolyn and through the Mandalay Canals. The narrow canals have some private inlets with refreshing waterfall views, and the gondolas are the only vessels (other than the occasional patrol boat) that ply the waters. Extremely unprofessional and rude staff I overheard verbally attacking a local kayaker who didn’t know the water is privately owned. The rower threatened to CALL THE COPS even though the kayakers politely informed him they were already notified. He also had a group of customers on board with him while this happened.
Took my 85 year old parents to the gondola. The gondola had help them get loaded and left her 350 walker on the dock in there enclosed area. We got back from tour and her sweater and walker were gone. Mind you thus was inside there gates and their employee put it on the dock.After several attempts for the gondola tried getting to someone we finally talked to the owners wife and she was the most heartless uncaring rude person I have ever talked to. Embarking on the gondola ride was like stepping into a dream! Our gondolier (Jimi Dawson) gave us an awesome ride and sang lovely serenades. I was surprised with such a beautiful experience by my boyfriend for my 23rd birthday, it was absolutely romantic. 10/10
Overall is an okay experience. My rowing gondolier must have had a bad day or wasn't expecting me to show up. He didn't seem that friendly and keen on working because it seemed like that was the last shift of the day. The gondola was cleaned while I waited. 15mins delayed start and which resulted in unexpected execution of the services. It was a little different from the videos posted online. Amazing and romantic experience that feels magical.
