Stay away from Dr. Gomez. I was forced to provide a referral despite my insurance not requiring one before I could schedule an appt. Doctor Gomez has zero bedside manner. Didn't even acknowledge my son in the room. More importantly, I had my surgery completed by a different doctor outside of this practice. Gomez's office called and requested I come in for a follow up appt, however I did not need a follow up as I followed up with my surgeon's office directly. I had an unfortunate experience with this practice due to their rigid scheduling policies. Because of work and personal commitments, I hadn’t been able to schedule a procedure right away. When I finally called to book an appointment, I was informed—quite abruptly and without empathy, that I had been discharged from their care. The representative repeatedly read a letter stating my discharge but offered no opportunity for a reasonable discussion or explanation. I would never recommend this office and in particular, Dr Gomez, to anyone. I was a patient of his father’s for many, many years. He was a kind man and I was fortunate to have him as my gastro. His son, on the other hand, is nothing like him. I had my scheduled colonoscopy and immediately after it he wanted me to do it again. I never had any to do back to back colonoscopies.
