Since Golub has taken ownership of Lakehaven Apts. in Carol Stream they have done nothing but take our money. 50% rent increase in the past 3 years. Forced to pay all rent and utilities through an app which they charge a $4.25 administration fee to use. Set everyone up for a $12.50 credit reporting service with OPT-OUT clause not opt-in. Even if you opted out they started changing you anyway. Latest is they are going to start changing $10 a month for parking. You don't get anything for the $10 you just won't get towed. Trying to get out of my lease at Prairie Shores because under this company's watch, the apartment building is infested with roaches. It's gotten to the point where I don't even eat at home and there are STILL roaches. It's miserable. It's negativity affecting my mental health. Stay away from this company and stay away from Prairie Shores
I've had to opportunity to work with Golub at a few of their apartments buildings and they all have gone above and beyond. The staff is incredibly professional and helpful, from leasing staff, to managers, to engineers, and the higherups. As a company they do a ton with the community and are always giving back.
