Literally the worst sessions ever. I had about 4 sessions with this doctor and I was terribly disappointed. Anytime I expressed something I felt was abnormal in my behavior, he immediately minimized my feelings. He didn’t even ask more questions to try to draw me out or see why I feel the way I feel. No use AT ALL of the DSM. I have no idea where he gets his clinical guidance from. If you are seeking actual psychological help, do not see Dr. Goldstien. He is a waste of time. This was the single worst therapist I've ever seen. Memory problems, arrogant, rude, dismissive, interrupted, always talking about his books, and recommended a career change the first time I met with him, before cutting the appointment short. Please don't subject yourself to this.
The chairs have pillow cases to hide rips... trashy atmosphere. Cheap. told that I’m ‘too much‘ for him to help me.. my past abuse was ‘too much’. Not professional at all! Not something you tell people who are seeking real help. Completely disappointing. Waste of time.
If I could rate ZERO stars, I would. I am trying to help a family member find a therapist, and offered to help with the daunting task of making phone calls. HE WAS BEYOND RUDE AND MEAN and I ended up not making an appointment. All I can think of is what if I was the person, on the very edge needing help and he answered. He was so nasty because I was making the call for a loved one, rather than the patient calling themselves...leads me to believe he doesn't understand depression AT ALL!
I brought my son to a counselor on the recommendation of his developmental pediatrician and school. Dr. Goldstein was recommended. Dr. Goldstien's office was musty, mold and dirty. When conferring with Dr. Golsteind he insisted that there was no such thing as ADHD, not did my child have any Sensory Integration issues. I explained our experiences at home and at school. Dr. Goldstein would speak down to me and interrupt me when I would speak. I was very discouraged and ended services.
