Dr. Goldstein listened to everything I had to say. He took me seriously and paid attention to details that I mentioned and took note of them. He explained lungs and nerves to me to discuss diagnoses. He suggested tests that we could run and was diligent about sending requests to the lab in the same building so that I could have tests done right away.
I’ve been a patient of Dr. Goldstein’s for years. Every time I have an infection, I have to go through so many steps just to prove I need antibiotics. He and his nurses don’t return calls easily. They don’t check the findings of the lab work and communicate to the patient. Last time, they took so long to respond to my calls, finally gave me an antibiotic that didn’t work, and I ended up in the hospital with double pneumonia thanks to coughing up green for a month while Dr. Goldstein and his nurses ignored me. Dr. Goldstein was my pulmonary doctor until April, 2020 when I moved out of Florida to North Carolina. How I wish he were closer!! He was ALWAYS very calm, thorough, an excellent communicator, caring, etc., etc. It is impossible to say enough good things about him!! Dr Goldstein took outstanding care of me in the covid clinic, as I had previously been hospitalized 5 days for the coronavirus.
He knows his stuff! I had to drive 28 miles to see Dr. Goldstein. I would have driven 128. I came to him last year with a lung cancer scare. His calm friendly demeanor and command of science based medicine reassured me. His supervision of my case eventually led to a confirmed diagnosis of non-critical lung sarcoidosis, which he had initially told me he suspected. His expert knowledge corrected a hospital’s improper scan and a surgeon’s ill-advised recommendation. And his tech Daimy is a joy.
Dr. Goldstein is excellent. Harvey, the PA is second to none. However, buyer beware at this office. After being a patient for two years, I was turned away since I refused to leave an open-ended approval for credit card charges on file. I handed more than enough cash to cover the cost of coinsurance, which was refused. I wonder if the doctors even know that the receptionist is turning away paying customers. My informal poll of 40 neighbors shows 80% won't approve open-ended charges. Shame!
