Tried to cancel my GoldGym membership one day into the month. Staff said “no problem” and never mentioned some secret 30 day rule. Then I get charged on Nov 1. Ask why. They say I gave 30 days notice but not 31. Then they charge me again on Dec 1. One single day and they squeeze two extra months out of you. GoldGym feels like a scammy trap and people should know it.
Edited: It's been a year since I wrote the following review and it still holds true! I've been going regularly to this gym 4 to 5 days a week and the honeymoon's not over. It's motivated me to become a powerlifter, and I've met some really great (and interesting) people. As a person who hates going to the gym, I LOVE this gym. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. Cleaner than Pflugerville and recently updated. Group classes space is organized and clean.
AYYYOOOO. I LOVE this gym. New to the area. Checked out several gyms and this one felt the most welcoming. The manager is great. And. Honestly the curly haired young woman that works there is hands down the most nicest politest koo people there. I'd give it 10 stars.
