Golden's Chimney Lining = Frightening how this company is in business! Due to the inspector/cleaner's error (in removing the box and not placing the insulation back in....) I was left with a burnt mantle, rug and smoke damage. When I even asked them to come look at this - to repair the damage, the old one started screaming at me. Now I have to have my insurance company sue him. (In Court, where the old one admitted he has been 'often').
Contract null and void... This company (Golden's Chimney Lining/Golden Flue), require a signed contract prior to beginning a job. However, the job was a nightmare and we are now dealing with the owner who is disputing his own contract and his own quote. Demanding that we pay more than amount originally quoted. Did not complete the work as promised (left firebox bottoms incomplete and no hearths). All the while making repeated calls on nights and weekends looking for more than $8,000.00 above original quote. Beware of this co... read more
