Just Like Home My experience is outdated, yet nonetheless impressive. While away from New Orleans during the Katrina scare, my family and I resided in Lawerenceville, GA. Best meat in town I'm not sure what the previous reviewer experienced but I've been to Great Western Meats many times and have always been treated very well. They have by far the best meat in town and are reasonably priced. Try a steak from them and the same cut from any of the local supermarkets and you'll be amazed at the difference in quality. They also have excellent pork and chicken.

rudest shopping experience in my life I waited in line and placed an order. The guy looked and me and told me that it would take a while. I said that would be fine. He proceeded to not work on my order. I was confused but continued to wait. Other customers one by one came in and he attended to them. I waited while he held long conversations about her divorce and move to FL. His child support and not having visitation with his son. He took another customer after her. Get great steaks here! I always get my steaks here as the quality seems to be better. They also have a good variety of your typical "butcher" cuts that Wal Mart and the chain grocery stores don't seem to have. Their prices are also great, sometimes a lot better than what you find in regular stores.

Great place to find market bacon! You never know what you are going to find here, frog legs? You bet! Their meat cuts are fresh and of great quality. If you want a huge T-bone better than what the grocery stores can get you, come here, they are the best.
