Couldn't ask for better service. Took my boat in for a drive coupler replacement. I was given a reasonable quote. I asked them to check the knuckle and gimbal bearing in the lower unit also. I added more work to them such as replacing the starter, changing the belt, changing the fuel filter... They ran into problems with engine alignment from the last people that worked on the boat. That was the reason for the coupler failure.They had to do some modifications. They fixed the boat back correctly. They were honest and told me ... read more
UPDATE AS OF 5 June 2024…. Turns out my issues were due to a bad plug wire. Had a misfire in my #1 cylinder. Folks I’d really consider the inboard expertise here. Unless you are ok with diagnosing and repairing until the problem is found, I’d look for someone who has the proper technology for inboard type of boats. Outboard may be a different story, I don’t know. And again, this is not to bash on Jeremy or his business, just sharing my honest experience I’m writing this not to belittle Golden Valley Marine (GVM), but to info... read more

I’m writing this not to belittle Golden Valley Marine (GVM), but to inform other boat owners of my experience. I have a 2013 Cobalt 242 with an inboard V8. I took my boat to GVM in the fall of 2023 because the motor would govern itself to stay below 3000rpm, the boat would beep every 60 seconds and occasionally when I took off from an idle it would not respond.
