we had a lovely stay this weekend for the geelong game the room was tidy and in a great location staff where helpful and had the room ready for a early check in will definitely be returning

Nov 2025. This was my 3rd stay. This is a great reasonably priced motel. It is above average 3 star (I stay at many). If you want clean, comfort, reasonable cost, well located (shops eating venue) & quiet at night you can't go past Golden Palms. If you want streaming & fluffy towels pay the bigger bucks elsewhere. While the room was big in size, and the staff were friendly, there was old blood stains on the sheets and towels were small and crispy. Not soft at all. Not too mention no Netflix. The room was a discounted price, so effectively you get what you pay for. Really great location.
By reputation I believe this to be a clean establishment in an ideal location though if entering from the North , take care in turning right ( to West ) for motel entry
