Went to the Golden Gate for lunch today, had a hankering for Chinese food. Had two lunch combo's that were reasonably priced at $8.95 and $9.95. Right away they were out of the Won Ton soup that came with our meal, so we had to settle for the sweet and sour soup. It was okay but oily tasting. Combos were OK in portion size but the chow mien had a few noodles with a ton of cooked celery. Weird. The fried rice was dry and tasteless and the sweet and sour pork look old and was tough to chew. Yeah not good
Service is horrible food is nauseating.
The food was not good. This kills it for me. The service was fine, even great, but the rice was dry, the fryer oil was old, and the wonton soup was incredibly salty.
This was the absolute worst place ever! The food tasted old and bad. When I told the manager he said too bad, you have to pay. I should have known when the place was EMPTY! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!!
