The chicken strips and rolls are yummy, and the house sauce is good. But my fried okra was soggy (like maybe it was fried a while ago in a large batch, instead of to order - it was so soggy the box was getting soggy!), and the mashed potatoes were flavorless. The white gravy was weird, but it could be that I'm just not used to white gravy (I'm not from the South)...it was almost sweet when I was expecting savory. We went through the drive through we have never heard of the Golden Chick but decided it sounded better than other fast food and we're so happy we did!!! It was the best chicken sandwich I've ever had and my husband couldn't stop raving about the tenders and what I found funny he hates rolls at fast food chicken places but here he was in love with the roll that came with his meal!!! We will be stopping on our way back through!!
We stopped on a road trip. This is the nastiest golden chic I’ve ever walked into. The whole restaurant was so dirty. It appeared that no one swept the floor in days. Food left overs were on all the tables. The staff was just standing around. The bathrooms were nasty with pee on the seats. Which shouldn’t have surprised me since the whole restaurant was so nasty.
