Initial appt made due to greater than 2 years of constant left jaw, lt ear, lt side of neck, decrease hearing, unable to open my mouth to eat some foods and unable to sleep on my left side. Dr Gold spent a lot of time reviewing physiology of the TMJ area, extensive exam of my head, ear, jaw and bite. He informed me that in order to treat effectively, he needed to know the cause of the discomfort. Zero stars!! The night appliance he made ended up making my tmj worse. He defended himself and the “science” instead of making suggestions as to how to fix the problem. I was accused of not completing protocol (the daytime treatments). The daytime protocol would be counterproductive if I was expected to continue wearing the night appliance. Of course, he would not give me my money back.
