513 Fence was in the neighborhood building a wood fence, so we stopped in gold star chili to get a quick lunch. As always, quick service and good food for a good price.
I drove over an hour out of my way to try this location, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the moment I walked in. The restaurant was empty, and the employees were sitting at the counter. As soon as I walked in, one of them (still sitting down) asked, “Can I help you?” I said I was going to use the restroom, and she immediately responded, “We don’t have public restrooms,” without even knowing if I was a paying customer. Buns were super soggy. Kinda gross if you allow yourself to focus on it at all. Friendly staff though.
