For several years, my wife had been searching for a Black Opal ring, but none of the jewelers she visited carried the specific style she desired. I was the other victim in his “bait-and-switch” scheme. Paid $20 cash for a black onyx whale tail charm, but when I looked inside the jewelry pouch a few days later saw that I received a cheap trinket whale tail—the kind that many jewelry stores up there give out for free. My girlfriend also was ripped off. Be sure to check your purchases before leaving this store! I will remove this review if he sends me what I paid for.
We visited the store at this address on 8/29/25 and were sold a black onyx whale tail that I paid for with my credit card and my friend paid for with cash. When we got back to the ship we discovered that the sales person switched the black onyx silver tale for a plain metal one that most stores give away for free as an incentive to visit them. We have bought several items from here over the years. Jay is honest and fair priced. This is the " ONLY" place we will by from! Locally owed which is huge! It started with a gold whales tale several years ago and now includes bracelet, necklace, earrings, a couple of nice rings. All Alaska gold. It is always a pleasure to see Jay . Well worth the stop. And no high pressure! Not like the " cruise line" stores. We are very glad we came across this store
