Great selection and great service! Locally owned and operated by a Ketchikan City Council member. Quality with integrity. Have visited every time we visit Alaska on a cruise. Easy and close access to the cruise port.

For several years, my wife had been searching for a Black Opal ring, but none of the jewelers she visited carried the specific style she desired. When our neighbor learned that we were embarking on an Alaskan cruise in the summer of 2005 to commemorate our 40th wedding anniversary, he contacted Jay and arranged for us to visit his store in Ketchikan, as he had those rings in stock. I was the other victim in his “bait-and-switch” scheme. Paid $20 cash for a black onyx whale tail charm, but when I looked inside the jewelry pouch a few days later saw that I received a cheap trinket whale tail—the kind that many jewelry stores up there give out for free. My girlfriend also was ripped off. Be sure to check your purchases before leaving this store! I will remove this review if he sends me what I paid for.

We visited the store at this address on 8/29/25 and were sold a black onyx whale tail that I paid for with my credit card and my friend paid for with cash. When we got back to the ship we discovered that the sales person switched the black onyx silver tale for a plain metal one that most stores give away for free as an incentive to visit them. I tried calling the number on the receipt and the one on the listing on google with no luck. The name of the company on the receipt says Bling but on google it says Gold Rush. I will b... read more
