Current Rental Season is from May 1, 2019 to November 1, 2019. Weather permitting, gates will be open each weekend Saturday and Sunday from noon until dusk. It's CLOSED you can't get in however if it's on route then take a detour to it. Such quirky things don't happen often these days. Go see it, take a selfie and chat in the car about it for a bit.
It's worth checking out if you're in the area. Or if you have to drive an hour and 45 min like myself. Great back story as well.
