We love love loved this and had so so much fun!! Would recommend to anyone and everyone! Owner and guide were super friendly and fun! Must do if your in the area!!! Def worth doing the more expensive package!!
It was a awsome adventure panning and sluicing the woods creek. Its not cheap but its fun for the whole family bring lunch n drinks or jump over to jimboy frostys for lunch.. the best part about it was talking to the mining camp prospector FRYING PAN FRANK HE WAS VERY HELPFULL on showing us how to read the water and where the gold holds up.... coulple runs threw the sluice and we have color
We came from Bakersfield on our Harley's to Jamestown to experience some history. We had a great time! Frank was fantastic! He taught us some history, was entertaining & showed us how to find gold. Such a fun experience! I only wish we had more time as 2hrs wasn't enough. Next trip we will definitively allow more time for this. This is a "must do" while visiting. ♡
There are other companies similar to this but these guys and gals are the original ones who started 50 some years ago. Doing one of their adventures is now on my bucket list. Lots our history in the store, it's like a museum. Bree was very helpful and had a lot of information. And George was so friendly... that's their dog.
Great experience, I've panned before but Frying Pan gave me some helpful advice that made my newest hobby much more enjoyable. I will definitely highly recommend these guys for all levels
Had a great time here just over a week ago with the brilliant Frying Pan Frank! Spent just 2 hours and found some nice little flakes both with a pan and a sleuce box. But, we've managed to loose the gold on the way home! � Devastated!

This field trip was an amazing experience for all the students and chaperones. Each of them found gold and had a great time learning and reviewing California history. The staff was amazing and we would definitely recommend this company to families, friends, and other classes! Definitely worth the two hours of driving to get there and to get home.
