We had a great time with the family! We came all the way from riverview FL to Alaska and couldn’t pass up the opportunity to pan for gold. I’ve heard Big John (gold daughter’s father)on Joe Rogans podcast several times. The staff were very friendly. Max helped with teaching us how to pan. She was super friendly, very knowledgeable and has a lot of patience. Thanks Max!
Max was an excellent teacher! So much fun to talk to. Knows a lot about gold mining.
Maxine was wonderful! She carefully demonstrated the gold panning technique and then helped us to identify any gold flecks.
We had such a great time in day 1 that we went back for a second day! The set up was perfect with plenty of room to sit or stand while you pan for gold. You can just pan the bag they give you with your entry fee or you can grab more dirt from the gift shop or the mound they have outside. C spent most of the time scouring through pay dirt looking for any trace of gold while A spent it looking for pretty rocks. Those rocks happened to include some Alaskan garnets!
