I had a very unexpected sudden situation to need emergency care while on holiday at Gold Coast and Dr Melissa McGrath unfortunately misdiagnosed my condition as tonsillitis instead of quinsy which misdiagnosis almost costed me my life. I was genuinely surprised by how good the service was. The staff were friendly, respectful and incredibly efficient. Everything was done quickly and with care. I felt well looked after the whole time and the experience was far better than I expected. I honestly don’t understand why they don’t have a higher rating because my visit was excellent. Very happy with the service.

Where’s my wallet gone / disappeared to? Why wasn’t my wallet handed to me? Why was it handed into reception at the emergency entrance by the paramedic when you COULD OF given it to ME (the owner of the wallet) Why can nobody help me or find my wallet with hundreds of dollars in it?? I would like to sincerely thank all the doctors, nurses, and staff for the wonderful care and service I received during my visit to the Emergency Department. This was my first time being taken to hospital through the emergency department, so the whole experience was new to me. I had to wait for some time before being assessed, and unfortunately, my stomach pain became quite severe while waiting.
