Top quality restaurant with a slightly more relaxed feel. But all the food was devine and service was great. Plus we were able to bring our dog in with us.
Service was fast, friendly and professional. Some of the food was definitely overpriced. How do you charge that much for tomato slices and peas. My family liked the mystery wine. I would recommend ordering the bread with your plates to start off to make the most of the nice sauces on each dish. Favourite dish was the cowboy corn ribs.
Loved the ‘darts!’ The ‘mystery wine’ is a great idea. Online booking was a very satisfactory experience!

Great ambience, lovely service, fantastic food. We had a long, leisurely lunch following a walk in the local countryside. From arrival to departure, we were made to feel welcome and were so well attended to. The wine selection was provided just what we were after (it's not everywhere you find txakoli) and every dish of food was delicious. Goat on the Roof is all the reason you need to visit Newbury. We'll be back.
