I recently "graduated" from the 9 month Freeboard Clubhouse. Besides having a shared space to commiserate about our new found freedom, mixed with both sorrow and excitement, Laura facilitated an amazing balance of experts in their field ranging from travel coordinators, home organizers and financial planners with group discussions. Laura hosted a Freebird Clubhouse for parents who recently launched their last child out of the house. The speakers she organized were engaging and it was a wonderful resource during a difficult transition period for me and my husband.
Laura's Freebird Club House group was an excellent way to intentionally enter this next stage of life. The session topics were all of great interest and I left each session percolating with ideas and "to-do's" that are helping me shape and enjoy my new nest! It was lovely to spend some time with others in this same stage of life, learning and growing together.
I came to coaching to help me focus on a new career direction and land an initial role in differen area. Coaching helped me verbalize and articulate various ideas I had. Once I was able to view the contents of my head, I was more easily able to explore, discover, sort, and prioritize my next steps. Coaching helped make visible and validate all the effort I was putting into my career journey - lots of the work I was doing felt 'ungrounded' until Laura encouraged me to document it. Laura is *extraordinarily* helpful. The way she conceives of the coaching structure she's providing and then the way she engages in line with that model are truly powerful. There are plenty of "life coaches" out there, but Laura is a real pro.
