I'm at the end of the refinance process. Appraisal is in hand, underwriting is done with the loan, now supposedly everything is being held up by the title company not reviewing my trust documents in a timely manner. I have a hard time believing it. Why? Because these guys are so incompetent, they've asked ME to contact my current loan servicer, ME to contact my insurance company about a paperwork correction. We found GO Mortgage through bankrate.com for a cash out refinance. We found the agent, Keith H******* out of Boise, to be professional, friendly and willing to answer any questions we had. The documentation was very transparent and the electronic portal made it easy to sign anything we needed doing. The interest rate and terms offered were excellent compared to big national banks. Would not recommend this to anyone if you are looking into buying a home.I just closed on my first home.It only took 3 times to actually close.I looked at my house way back in mid August. Was to close on September 23rd.Got a call from Robert the lender saying he needed more info from me the day of closing.Back in June I refinanced my truck and was given a check from extra money left over from my loan on my truck.Paid sum bills and this was back in June.Well day of closing the underwriter want that money I was given from my l... read more

GSF is sorry if the borrower's experience was not satisfactory. As a first time home buyer we work hard to make the process as smooth as we can. Unfortunately, in this case there were some changes made to the purchase contract at the last minute which then changed the borrower's requirement for a down payment that is required on this type of loan. Refinanced our home through GO Mortgage. What should have taken 30 days took about 90 days... I really regret not sticking with our current lender or at least getting a referral from our Title Agent. Our loan application officer was "let go" and all his clients were handed to someone else. The new guy didn't reach out to me until I noticed a new person on our account and reached out - this was after weeks of silence. Unfortunately, when an originator would leave the organization the transition to a new originator is handled immediately however reaching out to all clients does take some time but we work diligently in doing so. After two months of paperwork, nothing wrong from our side, it's on them to complete the paperwork and we're two days away from closing, loan officer who we have been in contact with, is nowhere to be found and his phone is disconnected. Called the number on Go Mortgage website, talked to rep and my account is not recognized. What a nightmare. Not sure what to do next with two days left and the owner can legally take our earned deposit money and not selling the house to us.
If you want to close on a home, look elsewhere!! Terrible communication!!! No point of contact or upper management to get a hold of when things go off track. Probably going to lose a sale and purchase of a new home. Do not do business with this company! They have been an absolute nightmare to work with.
