Did you know that St. Luke's Lehighton Hospital Campus has a Carbon County Veteran Services Officer (VSO) that will help you with your military records and obtaining VA healthcare benefits? I was hesitant to make an appointment, but making the appointment was easy and I was helped on time and with care and professionalism.

Edit: went from 1 star to 3 because they resolved my issue. The procedure itself was fine. The billing was stressful. My full experience: - Get referred for at-home sleep study here by a sleep doctor - Do the study. Receive bill for $1400. Insurance was billed $4,000 - I ask ChatGPT for help. It says a normal price is ~$100-500 and many clinics have a self-pay price and will offer it to patients if you just ask - I call Billing. They say they don't think they can do anything...but I can _try_ to call the "price checker" line... read more

This should be criminal. I had an at-home sleep study. At the hospital, they warned me to be careful with the equipment because it'd cost $1,500 to replace. "Whoa," I thought, "that's expensive. Will definitely be careful." They billed my insurance $4000. The insurance covered $2600, leaving me to pay $1400. To be clear: I _didn't_ break the equipment.
