Horrible and rude lady on the phone. Hung up on me then when I called back asking why she hung up, she stated “Let’s try that again”. Context wise, I called about a specific job that not many mechanics are willing to do due possibly having to remove the cams in order to remove a possibly cracked bolt (it’s a very specific and unique job). The alternator went in my 2006 Accord Euro on the weekend and I was dreading taking it to my usual mechanic (Honda Dealer) due to the cost involved, when a friend mentioned GMT Autos. Well I couldn't be happier, Tommy sorted the issue with true professionalism (as well as checking out other parts prone to wear), in no time at all, and the final bill was around half of what I would have paid at Honda. Contacted Tommy for some advice on a vehicle that I am looking at purchasing as GMT did the last service and the young man was polite and took time out of his busy schedule been the owner and manager to help. This young man is a superstar and very skilled and knowledgable in vehicles and his trade. Travelling from Cairns to Newcastle in my Diesel Triton 4x4, i experienced an overheating issue. Just off the highway, I found GMT Autos, where Tommy quickly diagnosed the issue - air lock in the cooling system, caused by a faulty radiator cap. He quickly got me on my way. Great customer service and attention to detail. I would recommend Tommy and the team at GMT, to anyone in the area.
