Came in on a Thursday afternoon after fracturing my ankle falling off a climbing wall. Was triaged, xrayed, seen by an ED practitioner, fracture discussed with the orthopaedic team, put in a cast and had a plan in place for ongoing management within 3 hours (although I know that my problem was relatively simple compared to other patients). The department was clearly busy but all the staff were friendly and caring. Thanks guys x

Medical negligence. Ignored critical past medical history despite me repeating it putting me actively at risk. Ignored tests which had been done by their sister hospital and all the referral information their sister hospital provided. Same triage nurse didn’t even offer painkillers despite me reporting substantial pain - it seemed that because I was able to sit and speak calmly and not keel over in a ball in pain I was not taken seriously. A wonderfully quiet hospital during a late night visit. It was easy to park, lots of spaces and wasn't too expensive. Truly great staff and nurses on ward. They were friendly, reassuring and with a genuine care shown to both patient and family. Gloucester Royal helped my dad get fixed up and comfortable again after a motorcycle accident. We are not local to Gloucester but it is a blessing that he was taken there and into good hands. Thank you Gloucester Royal
