Gloria's has a pretty basic Mexican/Tex Mex menu, but it does have some dishes added on that set it apart. They give bean dip and sala with tortilla chips before the meal; the bean dip is fresh and delicious. Their chicken and beef fajita are delicious. This location gets packed really quickly at peak times, so keep that in mind when going for lunch and dinner.
IF U WANT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND FOOD< THIS IS NOT THE PLACE! My friends and I had the WORST experience at this location in Firewheel. My girlfriends and I were having dinner sitting in the bar area this past weekend. This place stays busy! The food is okay, nothing to rave about. I found the food very bland. I think most people go to socialize and drink the margaritas, which I found to be pretty good. Beware....the margaritas are made with plenty of alcohol, more than your average. Because of the crowdedness, service lacked - we sat for 35min waiting for our bill, and was told the waiter was serving a large party! Talking to the manager Cezar was a waste of time.
This place is divine!! They have some of the BEST Latin Cuisine ive eaten in the DFW area..not to mention on Friday and Saturday Nites LIVE Salsa Music! Its a great place to surprise your Lady or Man for some delicious food without breaking your budget! They have the BEST Blueberry Margaritas!!!! Friendly Staff---and some AWESOME Live Salsa/Bachata Music! Its a classy place ,so do not wear your Tennis shoes or wear your baseball caps cause you will be escorted to your car! I'll C you there!
Every major metropolitan city has numerous food critics who get paid to covertly partake in a particular restaurant to size up the chef's imagination, the atmosphere, the wine list, etc. Food critics can also be the first time customer, a repeat customer, or just someone who is downright hungry and wants to try a new place. OMG, the free black bean dip is reason enough to come to Gloria's! They have a great patio for Mar-May and Sept-Oct dining or drinking. If you have never tried a pupusa, try a pork and cheese one. Also, and I dont even think this is on the menu, order the fried plantains with sour cream. The plantains get a grilled flavor to them, which brings out their sweetness. Food was o.k., drink was good, I like a good strong margarita and this one was good and strong. Older gentleman waiter was rude I did not answer him immediately due to I was freezing and exclaiming to the other people in my party about the cold outside and really did not hear him ask for my order. Instead of waiting for everyone to get settled, he yelled at me to get my drink order.
