I ordered smooth slate for an office floor. The slate is beautiful and according to my contractor--high quality as it was easy to cut and did not break. While I had enough because I ordered more than I needed, almost one whole box arrived broken upon delivery. I am glad I did not need it. It happened in transit.
Great experience from start to finish! I ordered marble tile online and was very happy with the price – much better than what I found locally. I had a very disappointing experience with Global Stone Trading. I purchased $4,500 worth of White Cashmere granite tiles for a large kitchen and family room, 500 square feet (min order). It appeared that the granite was actually manufactured, ie factory made and not natural stone, which resulted in a subpar product. Dealt with them online and had tile shipped across the country. Excellent service, quick response. Dealt with a half carton of tile that was lost in transit professionally and quickly and I couldn't have asked for a better experience.
