What a great experience I had the best teacher I could have imagined for this course and felt like i learned more in the 5 days that was useful to my life than all the school taken so far!
GEM were very flexible when I needed to change my dates of my recertification. It is really great that they offer a 3 year recertification course. Not many organizations offer a 3 year recert. The pre course material was useful and not too complicated for a Gen X er to do on the computer. Sarah the instructor was extremely experienced and knowledgeable.
Gavin, Rocco, and Sarah are just the absolute best. The WFR course I took was hands-on, engaging, and an all-around positive experience. I've never been in a classroom experience that felt like it went so quickly! This feeling is due to the thoughtfully planned activities, profession experience, and expertise of our instructors. I took the online + 5 day WFR course with instructor Rocco. Great hands-on experience through scenarios and very relevant field experience shared by Rocco's decades applying the material he teaches. Highly recommend this company for teaching courses of this nature.
I thoroughly enjoyed my WFR course and training with GEM and WMA. Our instructor, Gary Holt, was really great! His teaching style was very hands on and less of lectures, which I really enjoyed. I also liked the large variety of provided gear and equipment for scenario training. One of the best wilderness medical courses I’ve taken.
