Dr. Buchanan is helping take care of my mother, aging, older years (88) he is acting as her main pcp because more experienced wheelhouse of knowledge than the Dr Doolittle she has. Been about 1mo. of Diagnostics and conclusion: cancer blocking kidney resulting very high A1C with very low Platelets 25. They cancelled EMERGENCY surgery because of this,,, hope SEPSIS does not come around her way. Dr Buchanan has been very helpful
Dr declined to see me for a condition he stated I don’t have. Despite genetic testing, lab results and documentation that in fact my health IS affected. My PCP is trying to help me but as I am the first patient she has with this condition admitted I need a specialist. Recents labs show continued issues. It could be that I am on Medicaid and this Dr. just does not seem to care. *We had contacted the office to verify that they did/would treat my specific hereditary condition prior to seeking this referral.
Dr. Buchanan is a very caring and compassionate doctor. He took all the time necessary to assess my situation, offer suggestions and together we outlined a plan of attack. Dr. B also explained things in terms I could understand, which allayed my fears.
