Very caring and follows up the appointment with phone calls. Dr. Madokuro is an excellent doctor and has done 3 colonoscopies with excellent results. JM
Terrible experience. I have been patient of Dr. M’s for over 6 years, so ER at Hoag called him to discuss a colon issue I was there with. I got a call from his office to schedule an Appt for follow up. He spent 19 minutes with me, and was acting very hurried. Office staff told me that Dr. Madokoro said if I want my hospital test results I need to go to hospital and get them myself. 3 months later my internist read the ER report to me, showing many lung nodules in my lungs, colitis, & liver issu
This doctor needs a -10. He did not treat my sister well and did not give her the care and concern she needed. As a result, she has a VERY serious illness. Beware!
2 yrs ago, I learned of a friend recovering from stage 4 colon cancer. I was 53 years old and had never had a colonoscopy. That was my wake up call. I got a referral and went to see this Doc. I didn't know what a gem he was until I learned that he spends ~double the amount of time doing this procedure as most Docs do. Please note:The ability to find and remove polyps and other issues in the colon is directly related to the amount of time spent looking. His office personnel were great too.
I would give him 6 stars if I could! I did some online research and found Dr. Madokoro for my fiancé. We are both in the medical field so had some knowledge on what to look for. Dr. Madokoro really cares about his patients and took the time to explain everything and do a thorough job. I have taken both of my parents in for colonoscopy and they were in a huge lines of patients and the exam was very short. Dr. Madokoro took the time to care for us and made sure he didn't miss anything. He cares!
Very thorough. Dr Madakoro is gentle and kind. He cares about us as patients and as people. His entire staff is kind and gentle with patients and family. The staff explains all instructions for procedures very carefully and makes sure we understand everything. Should you need to call in, they are extremely friendly and mind. I recommend dr Madakoro to everyone. Otis definitely a kind and gentle office
Outstanding! Paramount: Dr. Madokoro spent 40 total minutes examining my colon during a routine colonoscopy. As a sense of perspective, in a recent New England Journal of Medicine study, the range of gastroenterologists time was a low of 3 minutes and a high of 16 minutes. That's right, Dr. Madokoro spent 2.5 times more time than the highest doctor in the study!! Since finding polyps is a function of time spent, nothing is more important. This simple fact makes him in a league of his own!
