The room was small but the bed was very comfortable. Sheets so soft I looked for the tag but they were all cut off. Chicken outside clucking in the morning view from the bathroom window. Lots of books in the room and pretty decorative objects that felt like home. Clean. Quiet location but easy pedestrian crossing over the freeway. We had out pup with us. Breakfast guest around the table included a woman who knew lots about the house. It was nice talking with her and her party.
We booked this place on a wim to go to wedding down the street, very pleased with the safety and security of the building as well as the friendly cats that like to say hello. Very quiet and peaceful can’t really hear the road to much which is great. They served breakfast at 9am sharp on the dot. And it was healthy, and flavorful! The wonderful vintage charm the room and building has is so nice!
Okay, this place is absolutely adorable and I am so happy we booked our stay here! I found the GlenMorey House randomly while looking for affordable hotel options during my stay as a vendor for the local Renaissance Faire in South Lake Tahoe. Everything else within an hour of the event was overrated and overpriced. This Bed & Breakfast is absolutely wonderful and way better than any hotel I could have booked. Really lovely people that work here. Breakfast is wonderful. The room we stayed in - Edinburgh, is sorey in need of updating from the mattress to the plumbing.
Cute and small with a very cool Scottish them. Huge tub and classic look to rooms. The only issue was that the shower curtains had a moldy smell, so whenever you opened the curtains or took a shower/bath, you had to deal the smell, and it lingered. Service was amazing !
