I try my best to be fair and understanding when leaving reviews. I have a tendency to read old reviews to see if my experience is an outlier. As stated in other posts there are new owners and they are very friendly and I saw them putting in a lot of elbow grease during my stay on a holiday weekend. So why the mediocre rating, the truth is the cabin property is just extremely out of date and too "rustic". The owner Daniel communicated well about accommodations and anything we may need. He came and put dock in for us too. Clean House Beautiful View. Great value for the money. We enjoyed the Bonfire pit (with stocked wood), grilling and the bean bag Game, they even had a childrens picnic table which was great for our grandbaby. It was nice to have grill and amenities already at the house, as well as coffee and seasonings and pans. Would definitely go again.
The location of this cottage is the greatest seller. It is very close to town, shops, restaurants and area recreation. It also sits across the street from White Lake. They do have a boat and life jackets to use. There is a firepit beside the cottage and free firewood on top of the hill. The wifi had a good connection. The owner Daniel is very nice and communicates well. The cons: when we booked a cabin, Lake Erie, it allowed us to book. However, NONE of the cabins are available. Great service. Great location. A storm just came through and destroyed a few of the cabins. They still haven’t been able to clean the grounds. But it was a great weekend. Kids loved swimming at the beach.
