The singular worst hair experience I’ve ever had. I understand that everyone has bad days, but this was a lot.. *posted anonymously* I visited this salon a few months ago and was served by the owner. She repeatedly disparaged my hair for being natural, calling it “hard“ and “tough“, and saying that that’s why she prefers to deal with “curly” and “relaxed” hair. My friend went this morning to inquire about a hair service. She was told since she has 4c hair, there would be a "natural hair" fee of $50. I find it appalling that a salon that claims to be the premier spot for Black hair would then push those Black people for having Black hair. Many college students away from home would love proper hair care, but this is a huge let down.
9 months ago Scheduled a haircut only. The person at the desk was friendly and helpful enough. Waited fifteen minutes, which was fine. When I was seated for my hair cut the person cutting it walked away ten times (I counted because it became excessive) without telling me where she was going, what she was doing, even when I was mid sentence, explaining my hair.
