I have been here a couple of times now as I am new to the area. My most recent visit was on a Sunday for a roast dinner and being a Brit, getting this right is imperative!! I was not disappointed, the food was lovely (gravy just about hit the mark on thickness), the atmosphere was good and staff are friendly :) will definitely be returning. The manager must be doing something right here!
We booked online and turned up and they had not reserved a table for us. Very little effort was made to accommodate us so we left. ☹️
The stuffed pasta shells were hella good. Not many vegetarian options tho.
I give this place 5 stars for what it is. A daggy local pub. But 5 star daggy. Theres a couple of differwnt areas to sit and eat, whether you prefer to sit in the main bar, the sports section or a quiet little nook to the side. The food is well done and it's clean. There are sufficient amenities (well at least I know for the lads) and theres a decent sized gaming room for a suburban local pub.
