Ashley, I don't know who you think you are, but what I did find out is you are in the new construction department. You should probably find another profession that doesn't involve dealing with the public. You are rude, unprofessional and unhelpful. Glades Electric already has a bad wrap, but with employees like you, it makes it even worse. SECURITY & PRIVACY ALERT: Greed comes before member safety at Glades Electric. I am required to verify my identity every time I call my own account, yet a supervisor just confirmed they will give out balances to ANYONE who calls claiming they might pay it—no verification or permission required. The hypocrisy is stunning: GEC requires a formal, signed federal consent form just to speak with LIHEAP (see attached photo), but they’ll hand your private financial info to a total stranger over the phone? Be careful they will LIE to you. We called a month ago after hours and was told it was a 100.00 for after hours services. Then was billed 200.00 and was told that's the way it is and that the woman who quoted us had been their with them 10 years on a non recorded phonecall and we were basically screwed . Make sure you get a text or email confirming the cost because they're very dishonest
Best experience i have ever had with an electric company! They are the best!!! Staff both at office and out in the field are always polite and personable!
