Great people and great place.
I can't say enough good things about Glacier Bear Lodge (GBL). When our usual lodge to fish out of Yakutat had to suddenly shut down early due to a family emergency, Kent, a co-owner of GBL, went above and beyond to not only accommodate the three of us on short notice but also gave us adjacent rooms. He arranged four days of spectacular fishing with expert guides--each day a different experience. GBL crew are the BEST ! Great facility, the staff are all top notch and friendly, amazing fishing and the food is awesome! Great experience all the way around
The staff in the guides were great, but you could do away with cable TV news. That’s one thing we want to get away from at home.
My Executive team enjoyed 3 wonderful days on the Ocean and 1 day on the Situk river. We loved the Ocean guides Gene and Chuck as well as our river guides Mike & Weston. The food at the restaurant was excellent and the staff was great with Virginia and Jesse and Jesse being very attentive. Thank you Scott, Jody and Kent for taking such good care of our group! We will definitely come back again!
