Since we opened in 2003, Giuseppe's Ristorante has brought authentic Italian cuisine to the local area. Tucked away in a small strip in Northfield Center Township, easily accessible from both Akron and Cleveland, Giuseppe Ripa and his family invite you to enjoy southern Italian home recipes and other classic dishes made from scratch, everyday. RecommendedThis is the best restaurant for miles around. Sadly it is closing on December 31st as the Chef Owner is retiring. So very sad as there is nothing close to Giuseppe’s classic Italian fare and great wine list. We wish him and his family well to enjoy retirement. Now we have to seek the holy culinary grail once again. 😢
The food is wonderful! Have always found the service to be fantastic! We have had a birthday party here and it was wonderful! There is nothing but good things to say about Giuseppe’s!
Sadly a horrible end to an otherwise nice place. Waited over 30 min fir a reservation without being seated. If the place were full, I would have continued to wait. Empty table fir 6 and one fir 12. Neither cleared or offered to be. Clearly understaffed and no one offered an apology or solution. Left for a better customer oriented establishment.
For any that feel this is upscale fine Italian dining, I feel for you. As far as taste is concerned, it was good, at best. Whenever food is made to order it will take longer, most understand this. However, the wait staff is far too slow and complacent in checking with and fulfilling other needs of customers. Also, I ordered one type of wine from the wine list and was told they hadn't carried it for some time. Update the menu/wine list for Gods sake.
Absolutely wonderful birthday dinner for a neighbor. Red snapper special and halibut dinners were fantastic. Everything was fresh & hot. Limoncello dessert was amazing. Highly recommend for anybody interested in really good homemade Italian food.
Fantastic dinner tonight!! Halibut Piccata and Red Snapper dish, with lightly breaded calamari that came in fresh. Everything including the service was excellent. Our group had 3 desserts, with the limoncello one coming out as most amazing, although the tiramisu and crepe with hazelnut sauce were excellent too. Will definitely be back. Outside is unassuming, but very friendly inside.
Simply delicious, authentic Italian cuisine. Hand-made pastas. Sauces to die for. Veal so thin you can cut it with your fork. Only the best wine offerings. The smoothest cannoli filling in Cleveland. Need I say more?? Very affordable for such a perfect dinner.
One of the best and most authentic Italian restaurants we have seen in ages. The braciole was such a rare find and perfectly executed. They also have real “gravy” just like you find in Philly.
My husband and I LOVE this place! It is perfect for date night. The dinner is not rushed. The servers give you time to enjoy the evening. If you need to be done by a certain time, let them know. The food is AMAZING! Prices are fair and drinks are good!
