I've been using GitHub since 2011. It's by far the best option for maintaining open-source projects. I realize Microsoft has acquired them, and that's OK! Satya Nadella has been doing a much better job with acquisitions than Steve Ballmer. People were worried that LinkedIn would crumble after the Microsoft acquisition, and it's currently doing just fine.
