I saw Dr. Gitelis with a broken ankle. He opted to try a cast with my understanding that it might not heal right, and I may end up needing surgery if it did not. It would have been easy and profitable to default to surgery, but he cared about me, the patient. It did heal correctly, and I avoided surgery. Since then my husband has seen him with near miraculous results. You cannot do better if you need an orthopedic physician. We are so lucky to have someone of his caliber in the area.

I have had several visits, consultations, procedures and hospital treatments with Dr. Gitelis over a 2 year period and I couldn't be happier. He was always on-time for appointments, and that is important to me. His consultations were always to the point and thoughtful. I needed several in-hospital procedures on my shoulder which was in significant pain. The manipulations on my shoulder were extensive and he did all he could to manage the follow on pain but, the issue was treated and I have not has that issue again. If anyone... read more
