He was very nice upon meeting him but he asked me do I pray and I said, 'not really sometimes' and his whole attitude changed and he was very short and dismissive. He was rushing me and I told him I'm also there about my arm and he asked why didn't I tell the nurse and I stated that I did, and he convinced himself that wasn't why I was there. I saw Dr. Girma Assefa a couple of days after my brother's funeral. I had been having trouble sleeping, barely eating and had just cried in the office. I knew I was grieving and the nurse was very kind. However, Dr. Assefa showed no compassion, no empathy and said I was "overreacting and being dramatic" because I had cried with the kind nurse. I will NEVER go to him again. IF you want a human doctor and not a robot then I suggest you stay away from him also.
I think Dr. Assefa is a wonderful doctor and human being. I came to see him approximately one month ago concerting a cough and continued mucus build op in my throat. Dr. Assefa discussed my concerns, gave me assurances how to solve my problem, gave me a proper prescription, and additional follow up information. I was completely satisfied with my visit.
