Didn't have a book, restaurant was busy, managed to have a table straight away. Service fast & efficient. Food was well presented & tasty. I had the lasagne, my partner had the chicken supreme. Very handy for pre theatre meal for New Theatre, as only across road. Would certainly come again.
We had booked but it was Saturday and 7.45. The restaurant was busy and staff were very busy. I have been here about 4 yearsago and service was less stressed. . It was good food but the experience was disappointing. Service should be the priority.
Just had a birthday meal here with a group of 8 people. The service was dreadful, staff very rude when serving food. We weren’t even allowed to finish deserts and they gave us takeaway boxes due to next overbooking of tables.
We were expecting fine Italian cuisine, professionally prepared and served. Unfortunately, this was far from the case. No mushrooms available. Hour-long wait for main course. Lamb chops overcooked and tough. For 30 not good enough. Meat sauce on pasta very salty. Giovanni must pay attention to the quality of the restaurants that trade under his exalted name!
We went to this place today for a meal and had problems with Fruit Flies. They were all over our food and ourselves. The staff just handed us napkins to put the flies on and beer mats to put over our drinks. We refused to pay our bill as we only had a few bites yet the staff were extremely rude and no idea of the problems they have.
