The best Italian food I’ve had anywhere , including any part of Italy. The best meal I’ve had in a while. .
Not that much to say here. The space was beautiful and from what I can remember the service was great, but the food was not at all memorable. I ordered a pumpkin soup that was really just okay, and we ordered the cacao e pepe and that was good but nothing really stood out about it. Overall for the price there are far better options with similar vibes and better food especially in West Loop/Fulton Market area.
Its hard to imagine a better italian place in the city. The competition has way better marketing, but this place has way way better food. Take the much ballhoo'd carciofo restaurant. The signature dish pales in comparison to Giola's Artichoke. Trying both, its actually embarrasing for the Carciofo restaurant! The pasta here is actually hand made in house (none of that advertising gimmic of "fresh handmade pasta" that is actually shipped in to the place!
